The Chattanooga Songwriters Association was founded in 2011 by Thom Cavin, a local Chattanoogan who’s journey brought him back home after 15 years in Nashville. Cavin, along with Joe Logan, created the Chattanooga Songwriters Association in hopes of discovering, developing and encouraging songwriters.

The mission of the Chattanooga Songwriter’s Association is to provide an encouraging environment for local songwriters, forming a social network to build on creative skills and provide opportunities at all levels of the craft, while cultivating community relations to create a sustained and meaningful musical presence in the City of Bridges.
